Marquee Calculator

As there are so many variables when planning an event, it is impossible to specify hard and fast rules. You should find the following guidelines helpful.

Reception:
With waitress service – 4 sq.ft.per person
With Bar – 6 sq.ft. per person
Hospitality Unit, Bar & Dining 18-20 sq.ft per person

Buffet:
With partial seating – 8 sq.ft. per person
All seated - 12 – 14 sq.ft. per person

Conference Seating:
Minimum of 6 sq.ft. per person excluding gangways 

Dining:
All seated – 10 – 12 sq.ft. per person 
Dinner Dance – 14 – 16sq. ft. per person

Dance Floors:
Maximum 100 guests – minimum 150sq.ft
100 – 150 guests – minimum 400 sq.ft.
Over 150 guests -  minimum 500 sq.ft
 
Size of Marquee:
Simply multiply the number of guests by the square footage.
